Scrufizzer X Utters

by Uche on Tuesday, October 6, 2015

Body Of Songs’ is a project based on a collection of tracks, each inspired by a different part of the body. ‘Play, Pause and Rewind’ by Scrufizzer and Utters focuses on the larynx, or voice box and as preparation for writing the song Scru visited an ear, nose and throat hospital to find out how the larynx works. route planner The title ‘Play, Pause & Rewind’ is a reference to how you can’t breathe, swallow or talk all at the same time – much like you can’t press play, pause and rewind at the same time. You’ll even hear a high pitched voice butting into the song – this is meant to be Scrufizzer’s larynx talking back to him.

Other artists who got involved include Goldie, who made a piece about the brain, Bat For Lashes who wrote about skin and Ghostpoet who made a track about the liver.
